She performs on trombone, euphonium and as a vocalist with the 572 AF Band at McGhee-Tyson Air Base in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bivens enlisted in the Tennessee Air National Guard, where she was recently promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt). After completing her tour of active duty, Ms. Bivens entered the United States Air Force Band Program and was assigned for the next four years to the 590th AF Band at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey. Michael holds professional memberships in the Percussive Arts Society, College Music Society, Music Educators National Conference, Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association.
